The Story Behind Biryani Blues

Co-Founders, Biryani BluesFor founders Aparna Andrews and Raymond Andrews, that craving was for an authentic plate of Hyderabadi Dum Biryani. Having grown up in Hyderabad, they knew what real biryani tasted like rich, aromatic, and slow-cooked to perfection. But every time they returned to Delhi-NCR, they found themselves asking the same question:
Why should anyone have to travel hundreds of kilometres to enjoy authentic Hyderabadi biryani?Every trip back home ended with boxes of biryani packed into their luggage for friends and family. That's when they realised they weren't the only ones missing the true flavours of Hyderabad. Instead of bringing biryani back every time, they decided to bring Hyderabad to everyone.
In 2013, they left behind successful corporate careers in the financial services industry to build Biryani Blues with one simple promise: serve authentic Hyderabadi Dum Biryani without compromising on quality, consistency, or value.
Today, that single idea has grown into one of North India's leading biryani-focused Quick Service Restaurant brands, with 80+ outlets across NCR, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Mohali, and beyond serving over 3 million biryanis every year.
Yet, one thing has never changed: our belief that great biryani should be authentic, generously portioned, and accessible to everyone.
